It's OVER everybody!!! Thanks for reading! |

December 24th, 2002: So, this is it - number 100. The big finale.
That being said, I thought I should take a few moments here to thank you
all for dropping and reading over the last six months. This has been a great
experience, and I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to do what
I have done here on Keenspace (no
matter how much I might have complained about the occasional glitch). Last May, when I signed up for
my Keenspace, and decided that I would make a go of this webcomic thing
I really had no idea what I was going to do, or what it would be about.
I certainly didn't expect things to turn out quite the way they have. For the most part, Japanimation
Fist has been a testing ground for me to stretch myself, and to do
something on a regular basis. I would like to think that I am better now
than I was when I first drew the first week's panels using nothing but my
mouse. My tablet, and all the drawing practice I've gotten here have led
me to lots of other projects, which I hope you'll join me in the dunktank for. The thing for which I am most
grateful for, however, is that through doing this webcomic I have met and
corresponded with so many talented and intelligent people, and I have had
the opportunity to become an active part of a community. That alone was
worth it. Over the next month or so I will
be returning here to clean things up. I will add an archive page in order
to make things a little easier to navigate. I will write a short synopsis
for anyone who hasn't read yet, and might be tempted. Time and life permitting,
I may even come back and reclaim a few of these characters for something
new (I actually feel sort of sad leaving Abe and Amanda here like this, but
I imagine they will creep up again eventually). I hope you will join me in my
journey at the dunktank where I will
continue to post comics of all kinds. Thanks to James and Matt for letting me
get started over at Man-Man,
to Steve-o for coming along with
his forum when I had none, to the
Friends of the Fist who encouraged me and sent me kind words when I most needed
it, and to Leah for being patient with
me, and recognizing that this was something I needed to do (even when I left
her alone to watch CSI). And of course, thank YOU for dropping
by, and being patient with me while I tried to tell a story. - Bill
